Review of the Cruise Ship - Norwegian Dawn
NORWEGIAN DAWN BUILT: 2002 REFURBISHED: 2005 WEIGHT: 92,250 tons REGISTERED: Bahamas LENGTH: 965 ft. BEAM: 105 ft. CAPACITY: 2,224 passengers DECKS: 14 We cruised on Norwegian Dawn on November 2007. This is my personal experience of our cruise on this beautiful ship. We arrived in Miami, Florida via a charter bus around 12:30pm. Embarkation was a little hectic, but only because of the large crowd that was waiting to get onboard. Reminded me of a busy day at a theme park while waiting in line to get on the best attraction ride at the park. Norwegian Dawn is a truly beautiful ship, inside and out. Apparently, this company that does the excursions for MSC Cruises, is not the same company that does them for the other cruise lines. Even though the description of the excursion indicates that you will visit Dunn's River Falls, and then have lunch by the sea, and a tour, this is not quite what you receive. Even though the description indicates that you'll have a Jamaican lunch by the sea, it's by the sea, but not at a beach. We thought the same thing. That it was going to be at a beach, but it wasn't. It's at a place...
