4 Year Old Boy Resuscitated after Drowning on Cruise Ship
Originally posted back on January 4th, 2015.
I was over on the Cruise Critic board tonight, and read where a little 4 year old boy drowned in one of the pools on the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship, and the medical staffed resuscitated him, as the ship returned back to Florida in Ft. Lauderdale.
The little boy is now in critical condition at a local hospital. My prayers go out to this family, but at the same time, I'm wondering how a child was beneath the water for almost 10 minutes, without anyone knowing, and where in the world was his parents, or the adults that were onboard that should have been watching him?
So far, I believe Disney is the only cruise line that has lifeguards by their pools now. Looks like all ships are going to need them.
When my daughter took her children on a cruise with us, those children didn't once leave our sight around the pool area.
